We were invited to exhibit at
Church Farmhouse Museum, Hendon, North London, in
October-November 2008 where our exhibition “Words Made
Visible” was a huge success with a great variety of work on
display from stone carving through to the elements of
applying gold leaf.
A number of
Friends of the Museum attended the private view sharing
their knowledge and enthusiasm for the craft, together with
their enjoyment of visits to the Treasures Gallery at the
British Library.
The skills
of calligraphy were demonstrated by members of the
Association on four afternoons, during which they showed
their individual approach to the craft and answered
numerous questions from visitors.
We look
forward to returning to the Museum later in 2009, having
been invited to present a display of Christmas Cards during
the festive season.
The
Association has exhibited throughout the Borough of Barnet,
including a display at St John the Baptist Church, High
Barnet.
